8/20/2025 – LET’S TALK GIGS, M’KAY?

While we all remain quarantined due to a member of our household having COVID (and thanking Jobu for it not spreading to my wife, myself or our grandson), plans for some upcoming shows have been formulated, along with a tentative schedule of Open Mic appearances for next week.

MON. 8/25 – Village Tavern, Long Grove, IL (open mic)
TUE. 8/26 – George’s Encore, Racine, WI (open mic/jam)
THU. 8/28 – The Coffee House at Chestnut & Pine, Burlington, WI (open mic)
FRI. 10/10 – Pat’s Brew & ‘Que, Sharon, WI (
FULL SHOW, 8 – 10 pm)
SAT. 2/28/26 – Delavan Lake Store & Lounge, Delavan, WI (
FULL SHOW, 7 – 10 pm)

There are some other feelers still out there on the back burner for additional full-length shows. Make sure the calendar doesn’t fill up on you… if you’re looking for live acoustic music for your establishment, feel free to reach out for details. I’m a helluva lot cheaper to book than Post Malone!

8/18/2025 – All Quiet On The Southeastern Front (UPDATE: WELL, IT ***WAS***…)

UPDATE (1 p.m.): We just received word that a family member who lives in our house tested positive for COVID. Out of an abundance of caution, I’m cancelling my planned appearance at The Runaway this week. Hate missing it, since the next Open Mic won’t be until next month, but I cannot potentially expose anyone. (For the record: I feel fine… but we’ve learned you can never be too careful.)

A light week of traveling with the tunes is ahead of me, with only a stop at The Runaway in Burlington, Wisconsin planned for Thursday. Of course, this is always subject to change.

I plan on announcing an upcoming show in the next several days – though you have plenty of time to plan for your attendance. I am accepting booking requests for Fall 2025, as well as for calendar year 2026. Feel free to reach out to me at rockfolkmanagment@gmail.com to discuss opportunities.

7/21/2025 – Will The Circle Be Unbroken?

Earlier this year, my wife and I returned to Nashville for a week’s vacation. Although I’m not a huge country music fan, one of our stops was to tour the Grand Ole Opry – an experience, honestly, any fan of music should take.

As part of the tour, you are brought onto the stage for a souvenir picture – and you can stand in a circle that was cut from the old stage of the Ryman Auditorium, the long-time home of the Opry. However, our tour guide told us that musicians normally refuse to step onto the circle unless they’re invited, as it could bring bad luck.

I don’t see myself playing the Opry any time soon, but I also know better than to slap fate in the face. As you can see, I chose not to step into the circle.
